About Us

The story of the Beerded Dog Brewing Co. began when Rae Kratz met Kim Iler while both being employed at Caesars Windsor. Back in 2018, Kim Iler and Rae Kratz purchased a home brewing kit on a whim, hoping to pursue their craft beer hobby, and the rest is history.

One day, they decided to open their own microbrewery and as fate would have it, the building for their Harrow, Ontario location was on sale. A beautiful location with a storied history - what was not to like? 

The idea quickly came into fruition and The Beerded Dog expanded into a full restaurant. The Beered Dog aims to support growth in the community that supported them. A clean, cozy, and family friendly restaurant where all are welcome - from the experienced beer drinker to the casual night out - and an environment where everyone knows your name. They believe in buying and supporting local as well as working hard to make people happy and feel welcome. Beers are rotated often and pair well with their delicious pub-style cuisine.

 

Kim is a former coffee shop owner while Rae is a former Canadian Army Reservist. They are huge supporters of rescue dogs, with two of their own (Joy and Ivy), who actually inspired the Beerded Dog name! Dedicated to Kim’s children Mitchell, Sammy, Ashley and their fur babies.
